今天分享的这个绘本故事主角，是全世界孩子最喜爱的女巫——女巫温妮。
这套书其实是一个系列，而《Winnie the Witch》是该系列的首部作品。
女巫温妮和她的大黑猫威尔伯住在一起，她善用魔法解决生活中遇到的麻烦，但也经常弄出笑话。
这本书语言幽默，故事有趣，深得孩子心！
故事讲述了女巫温妮的一切都是黑色的，她的房子，她的所有家具，还有她的猫。
因此，她常常被黑猫绊倒。于是，她用魔法把猫变成了五颜六色。
变成“花猫”的威尔伯最后会怎么样呢？温妮最终又想到了什么好主意呢？
下面我带大家一起读一读这本书：
Winnie the Witch lived in a black house in the forest.
女巫温妮住在森林里的一栋黑色的房子里。
The house was black on the outside and black on the inside.
这栋房子从里到外都是黑色的。
The carpets were black.
地毯是黑色的。
The chairs were black.
椅子是黑色的。
The bed was black and it had black sheets and black blankets.
床是黑色的，床单和毯子也是黑色的。
Even the bath was black.
甚至浴缸也是黑色的。
Winnie lived in her black house with her cat, Wilbur.
温妮和她的猫咪威尔伯一起住在这栋黑色的房子里。
He was black too. And that is how the trouble began.
威尔伯也是黑色的，所以问题来了...
When Wilbur sat on a chair with his eyes open, Winnie could see him. She could see his eyes, anyway.
当威尔伯趴在椅子上睁开眼睛时，温妮就能看见它，至少她能看见它的眼睛。
But when Wilbur closed his eyes and went to sleep, Winnie couldn't see him at all. So she sat on him.
但是当威尔伯闭上眼睛睡觉时，温妮就一点也看不见它了。所以她一屁股坐在威尔伯的身上。
When Wilbur sat on the carpet with his eyes open, Winnie could see him. She could see his eyes, anyway.
当威尔伯趴在地毯上睁开眼睛时，温妮能看见它，至少她能看见它的眼睛。
But when Wilbur closed his eyes and went to sleep, Winnie couldn't see him at all. So she tripped over him.
但如果威尔伯闭着眼睛睡着了，温妮就看一点也看不见它了。所以她一下子被他绊倒了。
One day, after a nasty fall, Winnie decided something had to be done.
有一天，在一次令人讨厌的重摔之后，温妮决定要做点什么了。
She picked up her magic wand, waved it once and ABRACADABRA!
她举起魔杖，挥了一下并念咒“ABRACADABRA!”
Wilbur was a black cat no longer. He was bright green!
威尔伯不再是一只黑色猫了。它变成了荧光绿色！
Now, when Wilbur slept on a chair, Winnie could see him.
现在，当威尔伯睡在椅子上时，温妮能看见它了。
When Wilbur slept on the floow, Winnie could see him.
当威尔伯睡在地板上时，温妮也能看见它了。
And she could see him when he slept on the bed. But, Wilbur was not allowed to sleep on the bed...
温妮还能看到威尔伯躺在床上。但是，威尔伯是不允许睡在床上的...
...so Winnie put him outside. Outside in the grass.
...所以温妮把威尔伯丢到了屋外。丢到了屋外的草丛里。
When Wilber sat outside in the grass, Winnie couldn't see him, even when his eyes were wide open.
当威尔伯坐在屋外的草地里，即使它的眼睛睁得再大，温妮也看不见它了。
Winnie came hurrying outside, tripped over Wilbur, turned three somersaults, and fell into a rose bush.
温妮急急忙忙走出门的时候，被威尔伯绊倒，连翻了三个跟斗，摔在了玫瑰花丛里。
This time,Winnie was furious. She picked up her magic wand, waved it five times and ...
这下，温妮发大火了。她捡起魔杖，连续挥舞了五次...
...Abracadabra! Wilbur had a red head, a yellow body, a pink tail, blue whiskers, and four purple legs. But his eyes were still green.
...Abracadabra!威尔伯现在拥有一个红色的脑袋，黄色的身体，粉红色的尾巴，蓝色的胡须，还有四条紫色的腿。但他的眼睛依然是绿色的。
Now, Winnie could see Wilbur when he sat on a chair, when he lay on the carpet, when he crawled into the grass.
现在，当它趴在椅子上时，躺在地毯上时，爬进草丛里时，温妮都能看见它了。
And even when he climbed to the top of the tallest tree.
甚至当它爬上最高的树顶时，她也能看见。
Wilbur climbed to the top of the tallest tree to hide.
威尔伯爬到最高的树顶上躲藏。
He looked ridiculous and he knew it.
它知道自己看上去非常可笑。
Even the birds laughed at him.

Wilbur was miserable. He stayed at the top of the tree all day and all night.

Next morning Wilbur was still up the tree.

Winnie was worried.

She loved Wilbur and hated him to be miserable.

Then Winnie had an idea. She waved her magic wand and Abracadabra! Wilbur was a black cat once more.
然后温妮想到了一个好主意。她挥动起魔杖，“Abracadabra！” 威尔伯又变回了一只黑猫。
Then Winnie waved her wand again, and again, and again.
然后温妮一次又一次地挥动着她的魔杖。
Abracadabra!
Abracadabra!
Now instead of a black house, she had a yellow house with a red roof and a red door.
现在，大房子不再是黑色的了，温妮现在拥有一座黄色的大房子，有着红色的屋顶和红色的门。
The chairs were white with red and white cushions.
椅子是白色的，上面放着红白条纹的靠垫。
The carpet was green with pink roses.
地毯是绿色底子印着粉红色的玫瑰花。
The bed was blue, with pink and white sheets and pink blankets.
床是蓝色的，有着粉白色的床单和粉色的毯子。
The bath was a gleaming white.
浴缸白得发光。
And now, Winnie can see Wilbur no matter where he sits.
现在，不管威尔伯待在哪儿，温妮都能看见它了。
