一个炎热的夏天，温妮和黑猫威尔伯去海边度假。一不小心，温妮的飞天扫帚被卷进了海里，越漂越远！温妮赶紧拿出魔法棒，冲着大海念起了咒语……这下子，会发生什么事呢？

It was a very hot summer.

这是一个非常炎热的夏天，

Winnie the Witch felt hot and tired.

女巫温妮觉得又热又烦，

Wilbur, her cat, felt hot and tired, too.

她的猫威尔伯也觉得又热又烦。

"I want a swim, Wilbur," Winnie said, " Let's go to the seaside."

“我想去游泳，威尔伯，”温妮说，“我们去海边吧。”

Winnie found her beach towel,her beach bag and her beach umbrella.

温妮很快就找到了浴巾，沙滩包和遮阳伞。

She jumped onto her broomstick,

温妮跳上飞天扫帚，

Wilbur jumped onto her shoulder, and they were off.

威尔伯跳上她的肩膀，出发啦！

They flew over hot towns, hot roads, hot cars,

and they came to the sea.

There were lots of people on the beach,

but Winnie found a place for her towel.

She put up her beach umbrella and got ready for her swim.

"Look after my bag and my broomstick, Wilbur,"

Winnie said. She ran into the water.

温妮说着，朝海里跑去。

It was lovely in the sea.

海里可真舒服啊！

Winnie splashed through the water,

温妮踩着海水，

and skipped over the little waves.

踩着细碎的浪花，

She was having a lovely time.

尽情地享受这快乐的时光。

Wilbur sat and watched her.

威尔伯坐在沙滩上看着温妮，

He couldn't swim. He didn't like water.

它不会游泳，它也不喜欢水。

He hated getting wet.

它讨厌被打湿。

Winnie dived into the water. It was such fun.

温妮一头扎进水中，真是太有趣了。

But the water started creep up the sand,up to Winnie's towel.

但是海水不知道什么时候开始上涨，很快就浸湿了温妮的浴巾。

Wilbur jumped onto Winnie's beach umbrella.

威尔伯一下子窜到温妮的遮阳伞上。

"Meeow!" he cried.

“喵呜！”它大叫起来。

Then the sea picked Winnie up,turned her over three times,

就在这时，温妮被海浪卷起来，翻了三个跟头，

and dumped her on the sand.

最后被甩在了沙滩上。

The water washed over Winnie's towel,

海水不仅浸湿了温妮的浴巾，

and came half way up Winnie's beach bag.

连她的沙滩包也糟了殃。

"Meeeoooww," cried Wilbur.

“喵-----呜！”威尔伯大叫着。

He didn't want to get wet.

它可不想被海水弄湿。

"Oh, dear," said Winnie.

“哦，天啦！”

She shook some seaweed out of her hair.

温妮甩了甩头发上的海藻，

"Don't worry, Wilbur. We'll just move further up the beach."

“威尔伯，别担心，我们往沙滩边移一点就可以了。”

She picked up her beach bag and her towel.

温妮抓起沙滩包和浴巾，

"My broomstick!"cried Winnie.

“我的飞天扫帚！”温妮喊道，

"Where's my broomstick?"

“我的飞天扫帚哪去了呢？”

She looked everywhere.

她四处寻找，

No broomstick.

都没有飞天扫帚的影子。

Then she looked out to sea.

温妮朝大海望去。

There was her broomstick, floating away.

飞天扫帚浮在海面上，向远处飘去。

"Stop!" Winnie shouted.

“停！”温妮喊道，

But her broomstick didn't stop.

但飞天扫帚并没有停下来。

"How will we get home, Wilbur?"cried Winnie.

“威尔伯，这下我们可怎么回家呢？”温妮说。

Then she had an idea.

突然，她想到了一个主意。

She grabbed her beach bag, took out her magic wand,waved it five times,

她抓起沙滩包，从里面拿出魔法棒，连挥五下，

and shouted,"Abracadabra!"

然后大喊一声：“阿布拉卡达布拉！”

The broomstick stopped.

飞天扫帚停了下来，

Then it started to come back.

开始往回漂，

But a surfer was in the way.

但半路上撞到了一个正在冲浪的人。

"Whoosh!" went the broomstick, high up in the air,

“嗖！”飞天扫帚被撞到了空中，

and it landed on a whale.

最后落在了一只鲸鱼身上。

The whale didn't want a broomstick on its back.

鲸鱼可不喜欢背着一把扫帚。

"Whoosh!" went the broomstick, high up in the air,in a great spout of water.

“嗖！”飞天扫帚又被一股水柱喷到了空中。

"Splash!" Winnie's broomstick had come back.

“哗！”温妮的飞天扫帚终于回来了，

Winnie was pleased.

她高兴极了。

The other people on the beach were not pleased at all.

可沙滩上的其他人一点也不高兴。

They were very wet.

他们全都被淋湿了。

Wilbur was not pleased either.

威尔伯也很不高兴。

He was very wet, very sandy, and rather squashed.

它浑身湿淋淋的，沾满了沙子，还差点被压扁。

"Oh, dear,"Winnie said. "We'd better go home, Wilbur."

“哦，天啦！”温妮说，“威尔伯，我们还是回家吧。”

She packed everything up.

她收拾好东西，

Then Winnie and Wilbur zoomed up into the sky.

骑着飞天扫帚，和威尔伯一起飞到了空中。

They were soon home again.

他们很快就到了家。

It was still hot in Winnie's garden.

温妮的花园还是很热。

Winnie still felt hot and tired.

温妮还是觉得又热又烦。

Then she had a wonderful idea.

突然，她想到了一个绝妙的主意。

She took her magic wand out of her beach bag,

她从沙滩包里取出魔法棒，

shut her eyes, turned around three times,

闭上眼睛，在原地转了三圈，

and shouted, "Abracadabra!"

然后大喊一声：“阿布拉卡达布拉！”

There in her garden was a beautiful swimming pool.

一个美丽的游泳池出现在温妮的花园里。

Winnie dived in.

温妮迫不及待地跳了进去。

She swam up and down,

她一会潜到水底，一会游出水面，

and then she floated on her back.

然后惬意地浮在水面上休息。

"This is lovely, Wilbur," she said.

“威尔伯，这样可真不错。”温妮说，

" It's much nicer than the seaside."

“比在海边强多了。”

Anything is nicer than the seaside, thought Wilbur.

哪儿都比海边强，威尔伯想。
