感叹句:表示喜怒哀乐以及惊奇、惊讶等强烈感情的句子。它有多种表现形式，有时一个单词、短语或一个词组也可成为感叹句;
例如：
Hello! (你好！)
Wonderful! (太精彩了!)
Thank goodness! (谢天谢地!)
Good idea!(好主意!).
有时陈述句、疑问句以及祈使句也可以转化成感叹句;
例如：
What a nice boy!
(多好的孩子！);
How can you be so silly!
(你怎么这么傻！);
Don’t go with us!
(别跟我们一起去！).
尽管感叹句的表现形式多种多样，但主要的表现形式只有两种，即what和how引导的感叹句。
what修饰名词
（名词前可加冠词和形容词）
how修饰形容词、副词或动词。
一 . 由what 引导的感叹句
"what"意为"多么"用作定语，修饰名词（被强调部分）,
单数可数名词前要加不定冠词a/an;复数可数名词或不可数名词前不用冠词。
其句子结构可分为以下三种：
1. “ What a/an 形容词 可数名词单数 主语 谓语!”。
例如：
What a handsome policeman he is！

What a nice present it is!
它是一件多么好的礼物啊!
What an interesting book it is!
它是一本多么有趣的书啊!
2. “ What 形容词 可数名词复数 主语 谓语!”。
例如：
What beautiful flowers they are!

What clever parrots they are！
它们是多么聪明的鹦鹉！
What funny stories they are!
它们是多么可笑的故事啊!
3. “ What 形容词 不可数名词 主语 谓语!”。
例如：
What fine weather it is today!
今天天气多好啊!
What bitter black coffee it is!
它是多么苦的清咖啡！
What great progress he has made!
他取得了多么大的进步呀!
二 . 由 how 引导的感叹句
"how"意为"多么"，用作状语，修饰形容词或副词（被强调部分）。
如果修饰形容词，则句中的谓语动词用系动词；
如果how修饰副词，则句中的谓语动词用行为动词。
其句子结构也分为三种：
1. “ How 形容词 / 副词 主语 谓语!”。
例如：
How careful she is!
她多么细心啊!
How fast the rabbit runs！
兔子跑的多么快啊！
How happy he is!
他是多么的幸福啊!
2.“ How 形容词 a/an 可数名词单数 主语 谓语!”。
例如：
How beautiful a girl she is!
她是个多么漂亮的姑娘啊!
How beautiful the flower is！
多么漂亮的一朵花！
3.“ How 主语 谓语!”。
例如：
How time flies!
光阴似箭!
How he stdudied hard last week！
上周他学习是多么努力啊！
4.How many,much,few,little 名词 主语＋谓语!
How little food they have!
他们的食物多么的少啊!
how many books did you sell?
你卖了多少本书？
三.注意事项:
1.how或what引导的感叹句在表示强烈激动的感情时，在特定的语境中常用省略句，其后面的主语和谓语往往略去。例如：
How wonderful!
太棒了！
What a fine day!
多好的一天啊！
2.由what 引导的感叹句与由how 引导的感叹句第一种格式(单数名词)一般情况下可以转换，转换后意义不变，但句中部分单词的顺序要有所变化。
①How beautiful a girl she is!
= What a beautiful girl she is!
②What delicious cakes these are!
= How delicious these cakes are!
③What an interesting story it is!
= How interesting the story is!
3. how或what引导的感叹句通常用感叹号；但当表示感情程度不是很强烈时,how或what引导的感叹句也可以用句号,读时一般用降调。
How good you are to me.
你对我有多好。
What a lovely smell.
多好的味道啊。
4.how或what引导的感叹句本身表达一种强烈的感情，一般不含有very、rather、quite、extremely等词，以免语意重复。例如不说：
How very fast he runs!
他跑得多快啊！
What extremely beautiful flowers they are!
它们是多么美丽的花啊！
5.著名学者周海中教授在1984年发表的《浅谈What和How引导的感叹句》一文中指出：how或what引导的感叹句一般不用于否定式。例如不说：
How hard they didn'twork!
他们多努力啊！
What dirty water they didn't drink!
他们没喝多脏的水啊！
6.周海中教授还指出：为了使句子的感叹力得到进一步的加强, how或what前面还可以加感叹词Ah、oh等。
Ah, how I love her! (C. Dickens: David Copperfield)

7.英语专家费致德教授在1981年出版的《现代英语惯用法词典》一书中指出：在口语里，为了强调，how或what引导的感叹句可以改为感叹词 谓语 主语。
